Hello!
I'm Ross, and this is Roughcut Repairs
I’m the guy who shows up with a tool bag and a plan, ready to fix the thing that’s been bugging you for way too long. Maybe it’s a cabinet that won’t close, a door that sticks, or a wall that needs patching. Whatever it is, I’m here to help get it sorted.
I started Roughcut because I saw how many folks didn’t know who to call when something around the house went wrong, or felt like hiring a handyman meant gambling on someone who might overcharge, ghost you, or treat small jobs like they weren’t worth their time. That didn’t sit right with me. So I decided to be the kind of person I’d want to hire: reliable, respectful, and good at what I do.
Why Call it Roughcut?
In film, a rough cut is the first real version of a project. It’s where things start to take shape: still in progress, but purposeful, hands-on, and full of potential. That idea stuck with me.
I named this business Roughcut because that’s how I like to work: no fluff, no shortcuts — just honest tools, thoughtful fixes, and real attention to detail. It’s not about perfection for perfection’s sake — it’s about making things work, making them last, and making sure you feel good in your space again.
What You Can Expect From Me
-
Upfront pricing. I post my rates clearly, so you know what to expect before I show up.
-
Respect for your time. I show up when I say I will, communicate clearly, and never leave you hanging.
-
Clean, careful work. I treat your home like my own; no mess left behind, no shortcuts taken.
-
No upsells, no pressure. I’m here to help, not to sell. If you don’t need it, I won’t suggest it.
-
A neighbor, not a contractor. I live in Beacon, I’m raising a family here, and I care about this community. That shows in how I treat your home.
